Quote Hub (Pty) Ltd ("Quote Hub", "we", "us", "our") operates the online procurement and quoting platform accessible at quotehub.co.za and related applications (the "Platform"). By registering for or using the Platform you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms you may not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under South African law. By accepting these Terms you represent that you meet these requirements. Business accounts must be registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) or an equivalent authority.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. Quote Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false information is provided or these Terms are breached.
The Platform supports four account types: (a) Consumer — individuals or organisations seeking quotes for goods or services; (b) Provider — businesses or sole traders offering goods or services; (c) Enterprise — multi-branch supply-chain entities; (d) Funder — development finance institutions, banks, NGOs, or grant-makers. Each role is subject to additional role-specific policies accessible within the Platform.
Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. Fees are charged in South African Rand (ZAR) and processed through PayFast. Enterprise accounts are billed at R199 per branch per month, or R1 990 per branch per year. Funder accounts are billed at R199 per user per month. Fees are non-refundable except as required by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA"). Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
Providers agree to: (a) submit accurate, honest, and up-to-date quotes; (b) honour accepted quotes and complete agreed services; (c) maintain all required licences, registrations, and insurance; (d) not engage in price-fixing, collusion, or any conduct prohibited under the Competition Act, 89 of 1998; (e) promptly respond to consumer enquiries.
Consumers agree to: (a) provide accurate project descriptions and budgets; (b) honour payment obligations once a quote is accepted; (c) not submit fraudulent, misleading, or bad-faith service requests; (d) treat providers with respect and in good faith.
Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy of prices, specifications, and availability of items listed in their product catalogue. Quote Hub is not liable for pricing errors, typographical mistakes, or outdated information. BOQ-generated quotes are indicative only and must be reviewed and confirmed by the provider before submission.
All Platform content, branding, software, and underlying technology remain the exclusive property of Quote Hub (Pty) Ltd. Users retain ownership of content they upload (e.g. portfolio images, catalogue data) but grant Quote Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content for platform operation purposes.
Users may not: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to circumvent security measures; (c) scrape, harvest, or commercially exploit Platform data without written consent; (d) impersonate any person or entity; (e) upload malware or harmful code; (f) engage in harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory conduct.
Quote Hub provides a mediation layer for disputes between providers and consumers. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to the National Consumer Commission or, where applicable, the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA). These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division.
Quote Hub may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time via the settings page. Termination does not affect rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent in-platform notice with at least 14 days' advance notice.
